Biography

Michael is a hard-working, goal-oriented leader who believes success is defined by an unwavering commitment to achieve objectives and to help others. He began working in residential real estate in 1989, becoming a fourth-generation real estate investor with a true passion for the business and an appreciation for historic buildings. Michael purchased his first single-family rental property in Atlanta at age 27, and continued to grow this business during his career in finance. He has purchased, sold, developed and managed many single-family rental homes over the past 23 years, achieving solid returns while successfully managing risk. Prior to co-founding Three Bulls Capital, he served as Senior Vice President & Head of the Americas Desk with HSBC in China from 2018-21, where he led the growth of the firm's cross-border US-China business. He was a Practitioner in Residence at the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business, designing and facilitating programs for students pursuing Masters of Finance degrees and providing career coaching. He was chosen as a distinguished alumni ambassador for the Georgia Tech Global Executive MBA Program and his photograph and story were used on billboards and print publications worldwide. Throughout his career he has consistently been a top producer in his various roles. His love for learning, language and people has guided him in travels throughout Latin America, Europe and Asia. Additionally, his intensity and drive are characterized by his accomplishments as an Ironman Triathlete, competitive marathon runner and ultra-marathon runner. He loves to laugh and enjoy life with the same intensity he brings to his profession, and to elevate the people around him to unanticipated heights.
